Warren Abery was born on June 28th, 1973 in Durban, South Africa. In 1995 he became the South African Amateur champion. Abery turned pro in 1997 and has won five tournaments on the Sunshine Tour in his native country. In 2005 he finished 3rd on the money list.
Abery ended an excellent season in 2005 by making a birdie on the final hole at qualifying school to win his place on the European Tour. In his rookie season on the tour his performances were very poor and he finished the season ranked 165th on the order of merit. |
